Soon you will have a solution to the problem of how to recycle items that aren’t currently accepted in your curbside recycling cart, such as plastic food bags, plastic utensils, foam drink cups, squeezable and resealable pouches, chip bags, candy wrappers, foam packing peanuts, plastic straws, stir sticks and other plastics. The Hefty EnergyBag program, which collects these hard-to-recycle plastics and converts them into valuable resources, is coming to Cobb County later this year.
Keep Cobb Beautiful staff is getting a jump start now to ensure these previously non-recycled plastics do not end up in landfills and serve useful purposes. If you would like to participate in the program, sign up by clicking here. Please register as soon as possible because bags will be delivered at no cost to the first phase of participants once the program launches.
